Small Groups
Ash Wednesday comes very early this year, Feb. 6. For Lent, Pastor Ken is planning a series of sermons on the cross and its message for us. We will be having a Lenten service for each week of Lent (6 weeks), Wed. nights, 7-8 p.m. For those not wanting to come out at night, after Ash Wednesday, there will be a Wed. afternoon Lenten service 1:15-2:15 at the church. These will be tied to the Sunday sermon with a part of our time in small group discussion for fellowship. However, ½ of our hour will be devoted to intercessory prayer, entering into the power of the Spirit in our midst. Small groups that are meeting are encouraged to join in this in place of their home group.
MOOD SWINGS TO SING: North Okanogan Habitat for Humanity will sponsor a benefit concert this Saturday, January 19th, 2008 here at our church, 3:00 pm. Featured performers are the Mood Swings (Connie Wood is still singing with them). An offering will be taken and refreshments served. All monies will be spent in building the sixth Habitat home in Okanogan County. A construction site has been purchased in Okanogan, Washington and the family selection process will soon begin.
Valet Parking – When the parking lot at the church is slick, and you are concerned about falling, the Deacons will have valet parking available, 10:25-10:45 Sunday mornings. Just drive to the front door and someone will meet you and park your car. Sandra Taylor is in charge. If you’d like to volunteer to help with this ministry, talk to Sandra or call the church office.
