CHURCH NEWS October 7, 2007

Cookies are needed for Coffee Fellowship.  If you like to bake here is your chance.  Just place the cookies in a freezer bag with the date made on it and put in the kitchen.  They will be put in the correct freezer.  Thank you!

Coffee Fellowship volunteers needed!! If you would like to help with Coffee Fellowship there will be a sign-up sheet in the Narthex and a calendar for October, November and December.  Just pick a Sunday you would like to help with and put your name on that Sunday.  If it works out that you can’t do that Sunday, trade with someone but let Maureen Walsh know or sign-up on the Friendship Register and Maureen will give you a date.

Catered Harvest Dinner – Our Harvest Dinner and Non-talent show is on October 27th, 6:00 pm.  There will be a sign-up sheet in the Narthex and you do have to pay in advance.  The cost is $11 per person.  Salmon and Prime Rib will be served (Eric Smith is catering).

TALENT NEEDED! Do you have an act for entertainment after our Harvest Dinner?  Musical, readings, skits, old and young alike, humorous or serious – all are welcome.  Sign up “talent” after your name on the Friendship Register or talk to Polly SOON!

Projectionists needed – We could use a couple more people to run the projector on Sunday mornings on a monthly rotation.  A basic knowledge of Power Point would be helpful.  We will have a training session.  Sign-up on the Friendship Register or talk to Rick Werner, Chair of Worship Committee (or Phyllis).

A little reminder of the Omak Marrow Donor Drive and Indian Taco Feed/Silent Auction in Honor of Parker Brown starts this afternoon at 1:00 pm.  This will take place at The Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church.  The Indian Taco Meal is $5 per person.  It will last until 6:00 pm.

Our Small Groups discussing the sermon start this week.  You should have received a call by now telling you where your group will be meeting unless you are in the Wed. afternoon group.  That group is open, and will meet at 1:00 pm in the church library.  Lance and Polly will be leading that group.  All are welcome to come anytime.

 Please join the Minnich Family in celebrating the 90th birthday of Evelyn Minnich, Saturday, November 24th, 2007, from 1pm – 4pm at the Omak Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. RSVP by putting “Birthday” on the Friendship Register by your name or you can call Jennifer Minnich at (206) 992-6332 by November 4th.  If you sign the register we will send the names to Jennifer.
