CHURCH NEWS August 12, 2007
A BOUNTIFUL HARVEST TABLE is in the entry area next to the office. This is an opportunity to share produce or fruit from your garden with others. So, if you have a few extra of anything to share, bring it, sharing God's blessing. Then, anyone who desires can take what they'd enjoy. We'll keep the table until our gardens are finished.
There will be a Body Life meeting after church today in the Memorial Parlor.
Session Meeting – Tues. August 14th, 7:00 pm in Memorial Parlor.
CENTENNIAL SUNDAY– AUG. 26th
Don’t miss this special celebration! Invite friends or former members you know. Our worship that day will be at the same time, 9:30-10:30, with our Presbytery Executive, the Rev. G. David Lambertson bringing the sermon. Then after the worship service we’ll have a special program reflecting upon our rich heritage along with a potluck lunch. The meat will be provided (hot dogs and chicken breasts on the barbeque).
A-M, please bring a salad.
N-Z, please bring a dessert.
We will have a lot of guests so in anticipation of a large crowd please bring double the size you would usually bring. We’ll be eating in the fellowship hall in anticipation of a hot day. Let’s have everyone here that considers this their church home.
Bike & Build – Our Church hosted about 30 students, mostly from Dartmouth U., over Thursday night this last week bicycling across the U.S. to raise money for Habitat for Humanity. Each student raises at least $3500 to build a Habitat house in Hanover, NH. Phi Theta Kappa from the college fed them dinner and the Mission Committee, breakfast.
