CHURCH NEWS March 11 , 2007

Apple Springs Worship Service today at 2:30. Please come and extend our fellowship.

There will be NO Session meeting this week due to the Session retreat planned for March 24th.

A “Guess Who’s coming to Dessert?” is planned for this Friday, March 16th at 7 p.m.  Sign up on the Friendship Register to either attend or offer to be a host home.  People will be assigned to different homes, but won’t know who else will be there. It’s a surprise!  It will be a time of fun, food and fellowship, and getting better acquainted with one another.  We encourage those new to our church to attend, so you can meet new friends in a smaller group.

Prayer Gram – The deacons are trying a new outreach called a Prayer Gram for people we pray for in church who are not a regular part of our church family.  If you would like to let them know you will continue to pray for them through the week, you may do so by signing your name to the Prayer Gram at the Welcome Center. Deacon Phyllis Werner will be there to help you.The Prayer Gram will then be sent to them after church. 

Deacon Easter Baskets – The deacons will again be providing baskets of food for some in our church family who would be encouraged by that help.  The deacons depend upon your special donations to cover the cost of certificates for meat and groceries.  A basket is on the cookie table in the fellowship hall for your gifts.

Mission Committee – The Mission Committee will be meeting with Erin after church in the Memorial Parlor. You are invited to join them if you’d like to know more about her mission trip.
