CHURCH NEWS January 21 , 2007

Our Annual Congregation Meeting is today, right after the worship service with a potluck to follow. 

The Presbytery Women are invited to the Presbytery Women’s luncheon at the Okanogan Presbytery Church on Tuesday, Jan. 23rd at noon.  The speaker is Mr. Wendell Harris and he will be speaking on safety precautions and regulations.

Centennial Committee meeting is on Wednesday, January 24th, at 2:00 pm in Memorial Parlor.

For our Centennial – we are looking for the handmade leather photograph book of the history of the church.  It is needed in the office.  Someone copied the articles and pictures from it and place them in a 2” white binder.  The office needs the originals.  If any one can help us find it we would appreciate it.

Bible Study/sharing small groups have started up again and if you are not already plugged into one, you are very welcome to join either the Wed. afternoon group (1 p.m.) or the Wed. evening group at 7 p.m., both meeting at the church.  Remember – questions are appended at end of the sermon on the internet each week.

An Invitation for Membership - If you’ve found our church to be a church home for your faith journey, you are invited to attend a membership class to consider joining this church. So sign the Friendship Register-“Membership” please, call the church, or  talk to Pastor Ken soon if interested. 

First Membership Class – is planned for Feb. 4th after church with a potluck luncheon (app. 12:30).  Please let Pastor Ken know if this will not work for you.

The Body Life Committee is planning a Valentine Banquet Feb. 16th at 6:00 p.m. (Friday) at the church.  The Ingram’s will be providing a delicious chicken dinner on a donation basis ($10 is suggested) as a fundraiser to help Josiah go on a mission trip to New York City.  This is not just for couples.  Our theme is LOVING GOD AND LOVING GOD’S FAMILY.  Please sign up on the Friendship Register or call the church office to reserve a place.  You’ll enjoy the food and fellowship.

Coffee Fellowship servers are needed for the month of February.  If you are interested in serving the Lord in this way put “Coffee Fellowship” behind your name on the register or call Talana Lay at 826-4623.
