Year End Giving/Planning: Many of you who call Omak First Presbyterian Church your church home will be giving year-end financial gifts. While we are still running a deficit for the year, with strong giving these last two weeks we hope to end the year in the black. In order to meet IRS regulations, we want to remind you that to receive credit in 2006, your gift must either be placed in the offering plate, delivered to the church office, or if sent by mail, postmarked by no later than December 31, 2006. The same deadlines apply to gifts of stocks, bonds and IRAs. If stocks or bonds are given to the church, you may take the full market value as a contribution and pay no capital gains taxes. Also, a new law this year gives donors over 70 ½ a limited opportunity to make tax free gifts to the church from their IRAs. For information regarding giving, please contact your tax advisor or church treasurer, Lyle Caudill.
Community Prayer Meeting - Our Community Prayer meeting will be Tuesday Dec. 26th, 7:00 pm at the Omak First Baptist Church (620 West Ridge Dr.). Come and pray for the lost in our valley and revival in the Church.
“Lost here in the church” - 25-30 small antique Christmas Carol books (from the 50’s and 60’s). They were left here at the church in a huge decorative Christmas gift bag after the parade on Dec. 2nd. A reward is offered for the return of these antique books to the church office. We need them for next year’s parade.
Thanks, Ruth Parman
