CHURCH NEWS December 3, 2006

The recently purchased hand chimes will be heard in worship for the first time today.  The chimes were purchased with funds given in memory of Byron McClanahan.  With the sounds you hear, let us consider the chimes dedicated to the glory of God and of the Son, our Savior, Christ Jesus.

Children’s Christmas Program – December 17th is our Children’s Christmas Program during the worship service.

Christmas Lights Tour –Tuesday, December 19th 6:00 p.m. will be our Christmas Lights Tour.  If you are interested in going in the Blue Angel to see the lights, please sign-up “lights” on the Friendship register. Refreshments will follow at the church.

Christmas Eve Candle Light Service will be here at the church at 7:00 p.m.

Coffee Fellowship servers are needed for the month of December.  If you are interested in serving the Lord in this way, please sign-up on the Friendship Register or contact Talana Lay, 826-4623.

Friends of Music cordially invites the Okanogan Valley Community to a MESSIAH Sing Along, Sunday, December 10th, 3:00 p.m. The sing along will take place at the Church of the Brethren in Ellisforde.

Holiday Concert – There will be a Holiday Concert here at our church, Dec. 9th at 7:00 p.m.  Mike Lundstrom and Rolf Vegdahl will share holiday music and the “Mood Swings” will perform.

Our sympathies and prayers to the family of Alice Brown.  Alice passed away Thursday of this week at the age of 93.
