CHURCH NEWS October 29, 2006

The Community Prayer meeting will be held at Manfisher Ministries (S. Main St. next to Chevron) this Tuesday, the 31st of October at 7:00 pm. Please come and pray for our community.

This Saturday, Nov. 4th at 6 p.m. will be our catered Harvest Dinner.  The entertainment which begins at 7:30 is Lonnie Good and his younger daughter in a free concert of Christian music.  The cost of the Prime Rib/Salmon meal including a 5 layer strawberry cake is $10. The last day to sign up or cancel and pay is Nov. 1st.   If you do need a ride, please call the church and we can make some arrangements.

There will be NO Potluck on November 5th due to the Harvest Dinner the night before.

Our Special “Mind the Gap” Presbytery offering last Sunday was $408.  Thank you for your generous response.

The food bank is having a Cookbook sale fund raiser.  The Food Bank Cookbook costs $8.00. Please see Thelma Marlatt if you are interested in buying one.

Moms in Touch (MIT), moms praying for their children, will start Monday, Nov. 6th, 11am-12pm @ the First Presbyterian Church. Call Vicky @ 826-5262 for more information.

The Body Life Committee needs more help putting on and/or cleaning up after the monthly potlucks. If this is something you could help with occasionally, please talk to Carol O’Dell or sign up on the Friendship Register.

Coffee Fellowship  volunteers are needed for the last 2 Sundays in November.  If you would like to do God’s work in this way contact Talana @ 826-4623.
