First Presbyterian Church of Omak has a membership of 200 and an average Sunday Worship Service attendance of 140.
We have 10 ruling Elders and 9 Deacons. Currently we have one Sunday morning service. Coffee fellowship follows each service. Our
Sunday morning service is broadcast via local radio, KOMW 680 AM at 11:00AM.
We have an active youth ministry, lead by our Director of Children's Education Lance O'Dell.
On May 8th,
2001, the Omak First Presbyterian Church became
the first church in the state of Washington to
adopt the resolutions of the Confessing Church
Movement:
That Jesus Christ alone is the Lord of all and the only way of salvation.
That Holy Scripture is the Triune God's revealed Word, the Church's only infallible rule of faith and life.
That God's people are called to holiness in all aspects of life. This includes honoring the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman, the only relationship within which sexual activity is appropriate.
Many lives have been touched by the ministry of our church. Although no longer called "Presbyterian Community Church", our tradition of welcoming community groups continues. Our church facilities are used by many community organizations, including school classes and activities, home school gatherings, meetings of Scout troops, Alcoholics Anonymous, Red Cross blood drives, service organizations and concerts.
